Hello mate, Steve gave me the blog address, and I was more than happy to see you are alive and well! What’s new, as if I have to ask. How are you loving the sunny sun down there? And have you applied enough sun tan cream to Sox?
I have really enjoyed the photos, the one with Sox eating chips: Priceless. And at least you found free wi-fi while there. Though at some point, isn’t anyone going to notice you hanging around on the streets, looking for something? Just a thought.
I look forward to reading and seeing more of your fight aganist good and evil!
Like the random thoughts blog. Have you formulated a plan yet? Thinking on moving on to the next town yet, or you happy with a few more weeks around Perth?
Well to answer your question as to is my news, I could just ask you to read my old piece of online literature, but that would just be lazy.
My current news over here in Blighty, is that Work is getting slightly worse in terms of more people leaving (Titanic springs to mind, the band are playing, the fat lady has knackered her throat and the iceberg is coming back round for another pass) and all the while it’s a wee bit depressing.
You basically have done the right thing.
In terms of the social, i’ve been mainly absent in terms of seeing people, as far as I have been concerned, the degree took priority for the time being, so I ended up missing a birthday party, a gig, paintballing, the cinema for AVP2 (which was mentioned by your good self as being so-so, so I guess that’s not a bad thing) and I actually have become a right boring naughty man.
I seriously cannot wait for the end of May, then I can get on in life and have jolly good fun harrassing strangers like I used to do.
I noticed you’ve been adding the entries on from before you started, I have to say the airline food looked like it was that baby thing from Total Recall (Quaid!!). At least you were on subjected to that for a day!
Take care mate, and at some point, I’ll wait up on MSN to have a real-time chat with you.
Still no plan.
To plan for tomorrow is to waste today.
Although I have booked a 5 day trip that starts Thursday (28th Feb 2008) and another trip for 10 days, but I’ve not decided when I’ll do that one.
I pay other people to do all the planning
Don’t tell me the ship is sinking. I’m supposed to be going back to it at some point!
Ah well, maybe it’ll wash up on a shore over here sometime and then I won’t have to go anywhere!
Hope your having a good one at the moment good sir, regretfully I’ve been MIA most of the time being very boring, though on the plus side, I managed to bore other people on a gaming podcast based in the US/Canada.
Which is nice.
Just a few more weeks of having to care about the work and then the world will be my oyster or other food which nice (pot noodle).
Still enjoying your blog, you have a real knack for photography, you should do that more often.
Well I’ve really enjoyed reading about you trip so far. Always the same Mat never stressed and leaving everthing until the last minute, your’ll never change in all the years weve known each other.
I’m glad you’re still alive there mate, and enjoying the sights. Steve had a theory that you had left this mortal coil so at least that fear has been put to rest.
Also Why star out those boobies? I demand pictures of ill repute dammit!! Seems you have made a big bunch of mates, and fair play to you good sir. Hope they match my witty repartee and demeaning insults! One thing I do wonder though mate, you seem to be having lots of fun, does this mean Aussieland is going on you to the point you may not return?
I can bore you to death about what I’m doing if you want another time? Take it easy boyo. With hugs and kisses from Blighty.
hi mat sean here hope you are ok a well spoke to your dad and told me a few things lol things dont chainge much only 7 weeks till baby is born carnt wait got a judo course april and going diving week end keep in touch and i will wright again soon take care sean
Thanks to everybody for keeping in touch.
I can confirm I am still alive and kicking. Twitching at least!
All is well here but things are slowing down considerably now. I’m trying to re-join the rat race. I’m just about done with being a tourist in Perth. Hopefully I can keep up some regular work and get a decent chunk of experience working in a commercial kitchen.
Then it’s onwards and upwards (sideways…and down a bit) to Melbourne, with a brief stop over in Adelaide.
The adventures will recommence I’m sure.
Still hunting…
Well I say ‘hunting’, I’m really more of a passive hunter like the Angler Fish – sit around with my mouth open and my bait dangling waiting for something to come along.
It’s taken 3 attempts to get an interview with one of the agencies, and I still have to wait a couple more days for that to happen!
There are too many tourist keeping these fat-cat agencies fat. They don’t need to go chasing mice anymore with so many mice chasing them!

Hey mate! Glad you enjoyed it.
Getting wireless access can be a bit of a pain sometimes, and is usually pretty slow. Don’t expect too many updates!
I’ll drop you an email sometime.
Tell me your news…

Hi Matt, Steve told us the news last week, a bit crap really isn’t it? (putting it mildly) Made me think once again…
Anyway, despite that, how are you doing, we haven’t had any updates from your good self in a while.
Hello sir, where are you at the moment, I keep coming here and there is nothing to wrap my eyes around.
Anyhoo, I’m moving to London shortly so that’s something at least. Mail us with some form of number to get you on and we can have a good chat.
